Picture this: you’ve just signed the lease on that fixer-upper office building, and you’re stoked to start personalizing the space for you and your employees to feel comfortable in. If you’re a new commercial building owner, you’ve likely taken the time to map out what will go and what will stay.
Maybe the location has some good bones, but needs a lot of love before it’s fit to begin operations. Older buildings can come paired with outdated plumbing and electrical systems. Perhaps the parking lot could use some expansion to fully accommodate the workforce. Culinary-based locations work best with brand new appliances, and the greasy equipment left behind could pose potential hazards. Without a gameplan, building owners can start to feel overwhelmed by the scope of the project.
